Pamela Cortney, Dental
Hygienist
Pam and her husband, Michael, live in the Arvada area. They
compete each year in the festivities at the Colorado Dragon
Boat Festival, and were on the gold medal team in 2007! They
also have a daughter, Christine, who will graduate in May
2008 from veterinary school in Fort Collins.
Pam went to the University of Nebraska, College of
Dentistry, and received her Bachelor’s degree for the
Science of Dental Hygiene. She enjoys keeping up with the
changes in dental hygiene and periodontology, as well as the
links between dental health and general physical health.

Wendy Evenson, Dental Hygienist
Wendy and her 6 year old son, Chase, live in the Lakewood
area. She enjoys the busy pace of motherhood, and hearing
the fantastic and astonishing tales of grade school brought
home by her first grader.
Originally from Wisconsin, Wendy and Chase travel back to
the midwest as often as they can to visit. Graduating with a
Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Marquette
University, Wendy has been practicing dental hygiene for
more than 20 years. She continues to expand her vast
knowledge of dental hygiene through continuing education
classes each year, and enjoys learning about the advances
that new technology bring to her profession.

Hopie Goeken, Business Assistant
Hopie and her husband, Bob, live in the Northglenn area.
They have three children: Nikki, Jonathon and Cameron, and a
9 year old grandson, Sean. She was born in Colorado, but
spent most of her childhood years on a farm in Idaho where
her parents homesteaded.
Hopie left Idaho for Seattle, Washington more than thirty
years ago. She received her dental education while there,
and worked as a dental assistant in Seattle for 8 years. She
then moved to the Denver area and has worked at this office
for more than 20 years. She appreciates the wonderful
patients that make this office their dental home, and enjoys
working for dentists who take pride in providing superior
dentistry and taking good care of their staff.

Diane Jowell, Dental Assistant
Diane lives in the Golden area. She has two children: her
son, Seth, owns Acme Neon in Denver, and her daughter,
Rachel, helps her run a small horse ranch. They have many
horses – the apples of Diane’s eye! – including Appaloosas,
POAs, Quarter Horses, and a new Peruvian Paso gelding.
Diane received her BFA at the Kansas City Art Institute in
Kansas City, Missouri, and her MA at the University of
Northern Colorado in Greeley. She enjoyed working at Red
Rocks Community College, where she was a Professor of Art in
the Ceramics Department for quite some time.
Diane received her certified dental assisting license (EDDA)
in Denver, and has been assisting for more than 30 years.
She loves working with the patients that she gets to see
everyday, and takes pride in getting to know each and every
one of them.

Elektra While, Dental Assistant
Elektra and her boyfriend, Damien, live in the Wheatridge
area with their new daughter, Keelynne, born in August 2006,
the sunshine of their lives.
Elektra is originally from Laramie, Wyoming. She has lived
in the Denver area for almost 6 years now. She graduated
from the Concorde Career Institute in August 2002 for dental
assisting after 9 months of classes and a 160 hour
internship. She came to work in this office immediately
thereafter, and has been a wonderful addition.
Elektra enjoys this office and the wonderful patients that
she gets to see on a daily basis, and loves working for Dr.
Harmon. She takes pride in the fact that every person in
this office strives to provide the very highest level of
care available.

Kristy Ward, Office Manager
Kristy and her husband, Darren, live in the Green Mountain
area in Lakewood. They welcomed their first child, Brenna,
in June 2007, and are enjoying all of the fun and surprises
that accompany parenthood.
Kristy has worked in the dental industry for almost 10
years, beginning as a front office assistant in a dental
office in Bloomington, Illinois. After she moved to the
Denver area in 2000, she went to work for a dental insurance
company located in the Denver Tech Center. She came to this
office in 2003, and is enjoying being able to communicate
face to face with patients again. Having an inside track to
the dental insurance industry helps Kristy assist our
patients with any and all aspects of the confusing world of
insurance. |
